I'm Yvette Györgydeák, a qualified dog groomer. For thirty years I have been clipping, bathing and brushing small and medium-sized dogs, and cats too, at the BIOVET Veterinary Centre in Angyalföld, Budapest's 13th district.

Clipping
A classic breed cut or a simple, practical one: we decide together what suits your dog and your everyday life.

A gentle shampoo, a thorough rinse and patient drying, for a coat that is soft and smells good.

I work out the tangles and brush out the dead undercoat, so the skin can breathe again.

Nail trimming
Nails that are too long hurt and spoil the posture. I shorten them quickly, with a steady hand.

Anal gland care
If your dog scoots along the floor, the anal glands probably need emptying. Not the prettiest job, but an important one.

The salon is inside a veterinary centre. If I notice red skin, an ear infection or parasites while I work, I tell you, and the vets are a few steps away.
